Lisa Hovelmeier

Hi, I'm Lisa (everyone calls me Lee) and I am the Manager of Parkfield Montessori Pre-school.

I am a qualified Level 4 Practitioner holding Montessori Diplomas in the 2 – 6, 6 – 9 and 9 – 12 year age ranges. I worked at Parkfield School for five years teaching in Reception and Key Stages 1 and 2. Prior to this I ran a Montessori school in South Africa catering for both pre and primary school children.

I also hold full paediatric first aid qualification as well as Safeguarding level 3, I am the Designated Safeguarding Lead for the pre-school. I am currently doing a level 2 course on Autism.

My key focuses are getting to know the children as individuals and supporting them to become confident, independent learners. I love language and maths development and am particularly passionate about the cultural subjects – rocks, fossils and dino poo then I’m your girl!

Away from pre-school, I enjoy creative pastimes and am at my happiest when I am creating something new.

Vicki Watling

Hi I'm Vicki and I am a Deputy Manager here at :Parkfield Montessori Pre-school.

I have four children aged 13, 12, 7 & 2.

My husband and I have fostered many children of all ages over the last 12 years. Our current foster daughter is almost 18 and has been part of our family for 7 years.

My child-care career began 23 years ago when I studied at Bournemouth Montessori college completing a Montessori international diploma 0-6 years.

I then went on to work at BMC for 15 years where I became deputy manager. I left BMC to have my third child.

I was then approached by Parkfield to work as a Montessori teacher, I worked across key stage 1 implementing Montessori education for 6 years. During that time I was given the opportunity to complete a Montessori quantification for 6-9 year olds.

I have worked with many children with additional needs and challenging behaviours. I am passionate about encouraging children to flourish and become independent individuals in a nurturing environment.

I am excited to take up this challenge at Parkfield pre-school and work with this wonderful age once again.

Karen Trimnell

My name is Karen Trimnell and I am a Deputy Manager here at Parkfield Montessori Pre-school.

I am married with 3 children.

My career in childcare began over 20 years ago when I completed my 0-6 years Montessori qualification at Bournemouth Montessori Centre.  I then went on to work at B.M.C for 14 years gaining experience working with children of all abilities, challenging behaviours and learning difficulties. Throughout my time at B.M.C I was made Senior Directress and then took up the role of Deputy Manager to cover maternity leave.

Since leaving B.M.C I have worked at Parkfield school for 6 years as a Montessori teacher working across Key stage 1 using the Montessori methods of teaching and ethos.

I am very enthusiastic and excited to be joining the Pre School team and looking forward to teaching this age group once again.

Annie

Hi, I’m Annie and I have recently finished my CACHE Level 3 Early Years Educator training at Parkfield Montessori Pre-school, which I have started at the Christchurch Montessori Nursery a year ago.

I have a full paediatric First Aid Level 3 qualification as well as a Safeguarding level 2 qualification.
I have gained lots of experience working with babies and children of the ages 0-4 years.

I have a passion for art, crafts and creativity (hence the colourful hair). I love painting and being imaginative - creating something with play-dough, paper or messy play is my kind of thing.
I absolutely love working with children, to see them grow and become little independent and confident individuals, is one of the greatest experiences.

Away from preschool, I am a mother of two children aged 12 and 6, who loves to spend time with her family. I also love Stationary, Pilates and being a Nail-tech.

I am very excited to be working as a Montessori pre-school teacher at Parkfield Montessori Pre-school, where I can be a part of your child’s educational journey and support them to the best of my ability.
